Strip Curtains, Scissor Gates, & Impact Doors
A strip door is a low cost environmental barrier that is constructed of clear PVC strips that attach to a bracket that mounts above or within an opening.
A strip door is a low cost environmental barrier that is constructed of clear PVC strips that attach to a bracket that mounts above or within an opening. The strips overlap, creating a "wall" that separates one area from another.

First, measure the opening width and height. Check for any obstructions near the opening that may affect the mounting of a door to the surface. Common obstructions are lights, switches, vents, water and drain lines. Never assume, always measure!
Next, determine the type and volume of traffic to help determine the material width and the amount of overlap required.
Personnel - Strip Doors with people traffic should utilize smaller size strips with less overlap. Consider using 6" or 8" material with 33% to 67% overlap. Only use 4" material on very small openings with personnel only traffic. Keep in mind that smaller strips give less wind resistance, and will not hold up as well under heavy fork lift traffic.
Pallet jacks - Manual or motorized pallet jacks normally indicate that the door will get heavier traffic and larger material volume. Pallet jacks also typically have a person to guide or push. If an opening has heavy pallet and personnel traffic, consider 6" material with 67% overlap, or 8" with 25% or 50% overlap.

Fork Lifts - Fork lift traffic normally indicates heavy traffic with more abuse. Larger strip sizes should be considered with fork lift traffic. Also consider the type of load the fork lift is carrying as the strips will drag over the load. If the load is light, the larger strips may tend to drag product off of the load. Consider 8" material with 50% to 100% overlap or 12" material with 25% or 50% overlap
Opening Size to Load Ratio - If the opening is small in relation to the size of the load, you may want to consider smaller strips with less overlap as the strips are more prone to dragging over the load. For example, consider 8" material versus 12" material on a 96" high opening with an 84" high load.
Folding Gates are your No. 1 Loss Prevention Solution. Provide a safer, better ventilated and more secure location with folding gates from Illinois Engineered Products, Inc.

Galvanized steel folding gates are the strongest folding gates you can buy. They stand up to weather - they're rust resistant- and they look better and last longer! Our galvanized coating bonds to steel 10 times stronger than paint. That means they'll be virtually maintenance free.
No other manufacturer makes heavy-duty folding security gates using galvanized steel. Other types of folding gates rust and require maintenance and painting - that means more work for you, less security and a higher total cost of ownership.
Crawford Door will custom make virtually any steel folding gate! Just tell us what you need, and we'll find a solution.

Impact Traffic Doors
Also known as double-acting, swing, bump, and a variety of other descriptors, the common attribute rigid impact traffic doors have is a center core of material - plywood or OSB (oriented strand board) that is covered with plastic (ABS or high pressure laminates), sheet metal (aluminum, stainless or galvanized steel) or fiberglass (FRP). For our Proline and Chase SC3000 models the door panel may have an internal metal or plastic exterior capping channel. Sheet foams (Styrene or PSC), in a combination with the core material and perimeter gasketing, is used to create insulated door panels. A single pane window is standard. Double pane windows are an option when the door will be used in a freezer or cooler box. Kick-plates (bottom quarter) impact plates (half height), spring bumpers, cart guards or rub rails and hinge guards can be added for additional durability. V-Cams, offset gravity or in-line cam hinges are all options depending upon the door model you choose.
Durulite products are made of roto-molded, cross-linked polyethylene plastic with an injected non-CFC urethane foam core. Featuring very high impact resistance, insulating properties and great aesthetic appeal, this type of door is designed for medium to high volume applications where pedestrian, pallet jacks or even forklift trucks are being used. An additional advantage is that the polyethylene material stands up to a variety of chemical cleaning solutions, and it's seamless construction allows for full water wash-down without concern for core deterioration.
