Where heat loss is a major consideration, the INSUL-SEAL door is a truly effective insulated rolling door with many advantages. Each door is a custom fit for any opening and will help control energy costs year after year. The end result is a finished appearance from inside and outside. Perimeter weather seals also insure a highly efficient closure.

Each slat is made up of the #5 slat and a steel panel which encloses the polyisocynurate insulation, thus eliminating the insulation voids inherent with "foamed in place" type insulation. The resulting total polyisocynurate coverage permits full utilization of the materials R factor of 7.90.

STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR "INSUL-SEAL" CURTAIN

Insul-Seal insulated doors have curtains assembled from interlocking 22, 20 or 18 gauge galvanized steel for the exterior section and 24 gauges for the interior section. The slats are available with baked on prime finish. Stainless steel and aluminum are also available. Slat to have flush inner and outer face and 17/32" thick expanded polyisocynurate insulation placed between steel sections. Slats which are assembled with malleable iron endlocks locking each end of each slat. (Provide windlocks as required by door size or design windload.) Curtains shall be able to withstand a minimum of 20 lbs. per sq.ft. of windload. The bottom of each curtain shall be reinforced with two angles of equal weight. Door is weather stripped with hood baffle, guide weatherseals, and loop astragal on bottom bar.

Powder coat is available in a wide range of colors. Slats #3 & #5 are available with various size perforations.
