William L. Hughes, the recipient of the Michigan State University Varsity Alumni "S" Club's "Jack Breslin Life Achievement Award for 2007, was drafted by the NFL Cleveland Browns football team but elected to go directly into business. He accepted an entry level sales position with the Crawford Door Company. He worked his way up, and in 1974 became President and Owner of Crawford Door Sales, Inc. Detroit.

Gary W. Hughes has worked for Crawford Door Sales, Inc. since 1975 following graduation from Michigan State University with a B.A. in Business.

Todd P. Hughes is responsible for Door Service and Replacement Sales as well as Dock Equipment Sales and Service. The latter product line was added in 1990.
